Working with Challenging Behaviour
This is a one-day introductory course for practitioners
working directly with young people. It is an experiential and
highly participatory course providing you with the opportunity
to develop your skills in dealing with conflict situations you
may encounter in your work with young people.

Playing with Fire
This comprehensive a ten-day course, run over three modules.
It is suitable for practitioners working directly with young
people
who wish to develop professional and personal skills and resources to
deal
with conflict situations. It is an experiential and highly participatory
course.
aims
course includes
- Increasing your awareness of your own relationship to conflict and
your habitual responses in conflict situations.
- Increasing your understanding of the interpersonal dynamics of conflict
(particularly in relation to anger, enemy thinking, persistent thought
patterns, and issues of power and powerlessness).
- Sharing ideas, exercises and approaches you can use in your one-to-one
and group work with young people and adults.
- An introduction to mediation skills as a tool for working with conflict.
- Rehearsing strategies for working more effectively with challenges.
- Identifying your support needs in working with conflict.
